<p>Becoming a vegetarian is an ideal for many people that believe they should convert but don&#8217;t fully understand the benefits. It is surprising how many people are willing to do this but cannot grasp just how important even one person who changes is in the overall picture. Ok, so one person won&#8217;t change things much but many individuals who think the same way can make a difference and even one person can help. A diet made up largely of meat causes heart problems which are the most common causes of death in the United States and other meat consuming countries.</p>
<p>Heart disease and circulation problems generally are mainly the result of cholesterol which is found in eggs, dairy foods and of course, meat. The organization Earth Save says that a meat eating individual is four times more likely to have a heart attack as a vegetarian. For those who go one step further and become vegans the figure lowers even still to an amazing one in ten chance. But these are not the only health benefits of choosing to be a vegetarian.</p>
<p>Meat contains a number of preservatives which have links with cancer, something which is dramatically reduced when you do not eat meat. As a vegetarian you won&#8217;t be exposed to various hormones (that are packed into animal feed), which often disrupt normal hormonal processes in the body. It is also much easier to avoid the consumption of lactose which many people have intolerance to, causing digestive conditions. The fact is people who become vegetarians have healthier lives; they can also feel comfortable knowing that they are not responsible for the slaughter of any animals.</p>
<p>The appalling death toll statistic suggested by Vegan Out-Reach is that over 2,700 animals will be eaten by an average American during their life. In the course of just a few short years you could stop the death of hundreds of animals by changing your life this way. The suffering of many cows and battery farmed hens would also be reduced if you were to give up eggs and milk as well. After the information you have read here it would be difficult to say no to becoming a vegetarian wouldn&#8217;t it? An improvement in your overall health with less chance of cancer or a heart condition and the reduction of animal deaths provide a compelling argument.</p>

<p>Some people continually count the calories of everything they eat while others, the majority, seem to consume whatever they please. You know the sort of person who likes that week-old cupcake on the kitchen counter, or those stale dough nuts in the conference room at work. A bit of cake here, some cookies there, leftover pie, as soon as you see it, you have to have it. There are lots of us that do it, eat just about anything with no worries about the consequences, just for the sake of eating; never considering the benefits of health supplements.</p>
<p>If that sounds like you I would warn against such behavior that can have such a detrimental effect on your long term health. Perhaps it&#8217;s time you started thinking about looking after yourself with some health supplements. This isn&#8217;t as bad as you think because these are generally very good for you.
